Woven with passion and patience
Crafts
Each rug is the result of ancestral know-how, entirely hand-woven according to a rigorous artisanal process involving more than twenty pairs of expert hands. From spinning to dyeing to weaving, each step is carried out by artisans who have perfectly mastered the specificities of each raw material.
The time, precision and passion invested in each creation make our rugs unique pieces, true reflections of rare and precious craftsmanship.
Job
The manufacture of a carpet follows a rigorous process, where each step is carried out manually: preparation of the wool, natural dyeing, assembly of the loom, then weaving.
Dyeing
The first step is to dye the materials for each rug – wools and silks are hand-spun in vats until the master dyer approves the colors.
Drying
The threads are then put to dry in large fields in the sun
Spinning
Once dry, the wool is spun by hand until it reaches the perfect thickness and twist, suited to the desired weave.
Weaving
Our weavers use traditional looms, simple but effective, consisting of two wooden beams between which the thread is stretched. On this rudimentary tool, each piece of fabric is patiently woven by hand, according to ancestral know-how.
Washing
The final step is washing the rug. This not only cleans it, but also revives its vibrant colors.
The rugs are then dried in the sun, the final touch to this labor of passion and patience.
